Résumé

Bio

My career began in South Africa, where I completed an Economics and Econometrics undergraduate degree. Upon graduating, I had the opportunity to serve at the Development Bank of Southern Africa as an economic analyst. We then immigrated to the USA, Indiana, when my husband, a Fulbright scholarship recipient, pursued a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. Between having two additional children, I graduated from Purdue University with an Associate of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision.

I also had the privilege of serving as a volunteer counselor at a pregnancy center in West Lafayette, Indiana. Upon my husband’s graduation, we returned to South Africa, where I worked as a market research manager at a market research organization. I simultaneously earned a Master of Philosophy degree in Business Management (Responsible Leadership) from the University of Pretoria. An opportunity opened for my husband that propelled us to return to the USA.

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Learning, Design, and Technology at the University of Tennessee (graduated with the Master of Science in Instructional Technology in Summer 2019). I have depicted a brief synopsis of my career development, education and work experience, skills acquired, and future goals in the downloadable infographic below.
